The Fundamentals of Physical Intimacy

Becoming “one flesh” in marriage encompasses the total sharing of life, with sexual intimacy uniquely expressing and deepening that unity. God designed physical intimacy as a selfless, sacrificial gift between one man and one woman in marriage, meant to strengthen relational closeness and glorify Him. When guided by Scripture and a willingness to follow God’s design, couples can grow in spiritual, emotional, and physical intimacy throughout their lives together, developing a love that reflects God’s will for marriage.
