The Fundamental Role of the Husband

The husband is called by God to love and cherish his own wife, just as Jesus Christ loves and cherishes His bride, the church (Ephesians 5:25). The husband must continually love, lead, and learn his wife. He will be held accountable by God for his role within the family. The fear and love of Christ will be the driving force behind his continuing love for his wife.
