The Fundamental Role of the Parent & Child

Parents are divinely appointed by God to shepherd and disciple the children entrusted to them, teaching them to know, love, and follow Christ. God’s truth is to shape their words, actions, character, and home life, as commanded in Scripture. Christian parenting is done with eternity in view, recognizing that each child will live forever and face either eternal joy with Christ or eternal separation from Him. Therefore, faithful parents do not labor merely for their children’s success in this life, but intentionally prepare them for the day of judgment and a life devoted to Christ.
